You’re an Ontarian? I’m really hoping it’s not too bad. I’ll be headed over to TO from Montreal in a few hours.

Yup, I am :)

I took the liberty of evacuating work early, so I’ve already made it home.

They do a pretty decent job keeping the 401 in good shape. Just be very careful between Belleville and Cobourg.

Freezing rain is sketchy! We have heavy, wet stuff out here. I actually lived in Toronto for a couple years as a kid but I call Ottawa my hometown.

Lucky you! Yea, I was planning on driving but chose the bus just due to logistics and I’m feeling it’s a good call with the weather.

I’m hoping to be a Torontonian in the next few months ;P

You know, that was one of the dumbest parts of the Fast and the Furious. In what realm would a Jetta beat an S2000? If these guys knew cars, they would know not to get into that race.

I did mine the second week of March, however my OEM tires are all-seasons, not summers. So I’m not too worried if we get hit by snow.

Thought about swapping back to summers last week, but reconsidered upon looking at the forecast and remembering our average last frost date is about Mother’s Day. Fortunately, both our jobs called it a snow day today. Watching movies and doing art, puzzles, hot wheels races with the little guy instead, maybe some telecommute coding if the mood hits me later.

In the world where it’s a drag race and the cars aren’t stock. You could do almost anything to a car, there’s a freaking Smart that does wheelies and one with a jet engine. Presumably, someone would be able to make a Jetta a little faster.

Thought about doing mine last weekend...then i remembered that in Utah you have to wait for the snow to thaw off the now dead freshly sprung flowers before you can.

Haha our trees have flowered and fallen off already. My good friend lives in big cottonwood and was sending footage my way all day yesterday. Needless to say, the Tundra is not getting washed until April.

You’re right. Although looking at the oh so tasteful exterior mods on that car I doubt it. Lol

I made this mistake.....not in CO but had to drive in snow with summers on....sucks.

I did have to though, I found a sidebubble ad my winters were trashed anyway.

Heh, no, though S30s are incredibly fun in the snow, they have a unique feature of instantly rusting out one entire panel for each snowflake that touches them (true fact). We have Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s on our ‘04 Jetta which makes it pretty much unstoppable for winter road driving here, but means I have to swap wheels/tires in the spring and fall. My truck has BFG TA K/O’s, 2WD, and a TrueTrac mechanical locker, which makes it at least decent for snow, but I don’t have to switch wheels/tires seasonally. The Z currently runs on DOT R-compounds for track and road, but I think I’m going to go to a set of wheels with summer high performance tires, and another set of wheels with track-only compound.

I had one of the rustiest ‘68 510s... Trust me I know! I took my Tundra out to H-Mart yesterday (TA KO2s) and it was unstoppable, I think I only needed 4wd once or twice in an hour of driving - excellent tires make all the difference.

Too true! In some ways the 510s are harder rust-repair than the S30s, I think. Worth it in both cases, though. I wish I had bought the TA KO2s; they came out about 6 months after I got the TA KOs. Mine are fine, but the 2s really do seem to be a better tire. Supposedly more snow Saturday morning, and another system about Thursday next week. Spring in the Rockies.
